Ethel and Jill can’t get the lid
off quick enough to have marmite on their hot crumpets!
Marmite became available in the
supermarkets on the 20th March 2013. I brought a jar of marmite on
Tuesday because the shelf was always empty when I went to the supermarket. The
Sanitarium factory was damaged in the Christchurch earthquake and marmite
production was suspended for about 12 months. There was damage to a cooling
tower at the company’s Christchurch factory which rendered the nearby marmite
building unsafe.
