This is part 2 - The Hitty's Visit a Fire station (2012)
Harold and Brenda Sunshine are having breakfast with their
children. This morning Harold tells the children that four weeks ago when he took
Emma with him to the Fire Station with the Hitty girls Emma ran off with one of
the Fire Fighters dog and as a consequence Emma is now expecting puppies in a
couple of weeks.
The children are excited to hear the news and can’t wait until Emma has the puppies.
The family are sitting outside enjoying the sun and fresh
air and they notice that Emma is jumping up a lot.
Harold tells the children not to encourage Emma to jump up
and run around all excited when she is playing with them.
The days past and one morning their father tells
them that Emma has had seven puppies. Wow! They crowd around and want to see
and hold them. Harold tells them they can’t hold them until the puppies eyes
open and they hold them if they are supervised by him or their mother.
The puppies are growing and have their eyes opened and are
running in the house. Brenda can feel one of the puppies jumping up on her leg
as she changes Hope’s nappy. Brenda is now concerned she or the children may
trip over them.
The children are handling the puppies regularly and know they
have to sit down if they want to hold a puppy and not walk around carrying a
puppy.
The puppies are always finding the children’s toys on the
floor and they chew them. Even Emma has started chewing on a teddy bear she has
found as well as some of the puppies are chewing on another teddy bear they
have found. The puppies are shaking the bear and others are pulling at it.
It was a wonderful experience for the children to see the
puppies grow up and be able to play with them, but Emma will not be having any
more puppies because last week she went to the Vet to be spayed.
